Accessibility at the National Conference Centre

The National Conference Centre is designed for maximum accessibility at all our events.

Our staff are on hand at all times to provide a personalised service when required, to make your visit to the National Conference Centre as easy and stress-free as possible.

Entrances

All public entrances allow step free access by wheelchair via low gradient ramps and automatic doors. Once inside the venue, all floors are on a level, offering unobstructed travel to all areas of both the museum and events venue. There are lifts available to access the lower floors and dedicated chairlifts to access the upper floors.

Free Parking

The National Conference Centre has multiple designated bays for accessible access that are ideally located in close proximity to the building entrances to allow for easy access.

Event Space

Once inside, the vast majority of our rooms we have step free access via corridors and the lifts are all wide enough to easily manoeuvre even the largest of wheelchairs. There is no fixed seating at the National Conference Centre, therefore wheelchair spaces can be positioned anywhere in the meeting rooms.

We can also provide a bespoke audio enhancement service to ensure that any guest who is hard of hearing feels fully included. Details and costs can be discussed with your event planner.

Assistance Dogs

You are more than welcome to bring your assistance dog into the National Conference Centre. Rest assured they will be truly pampered by our dog loving staff.

Toilets

There are dedicated accessible toilets throughout both the museum and conference centre that offer the privacy and facilities you require.
