Our Birmingham Banqueting Hall

As a banqueting hall in Birmingham, we regularly host awards evenings and dinners for organisations across healthcare, automotive, engineering, financial services, marketing and professional services.

Our built-in LED lighting and full production AV system mean the room quickly transforms from an impressive empty space to a fully dressed banqueting hall.

The Imperial Suite

The Imperial Suite is our most popular room for banqueting, awards and dinners. It seats 760 for dinner and holds 1,600 for a standing reception. The Art Deco styling, crystal chandeliers and grand entrance staircase create that wow moment for guests the instant they walk in.

The adjoining Trafalgar and Waterloo suites give you a separate drinks reception space, keeping guests away from the main room until the doors open for dinner.The NCC has been delivering events like this for over 40 years and we know how to put on a celebration.

The Britannia Suite

The Britannia Suite is our largest room and works well for very large awards, dinners and gala events. It seats 1,000 for dinner and holds 1,800 for a standing reception. The room sits on the ground floor with a striking marble entrance and natural daylight, which can be fully blacked out for evening events. For organisations with a large guest list that needs space beyond the Imperial Suite, the Britannia is the right choice.

The Bracebridge Suite

The Bracebridge Suite is a stylish lower ground floor room with mirrored pillars, a private in-room bar and a warm, intimate atmosphere. It is well suited to smaller award and dinner events, private dining events and VIP receptions. It also works well as an additional drinks or networking area alongside a larger awards dinner in the Imperial Suite.

AV & Technology Support

At the NCC we have an in-house AV team who can handle setting up and technical support.

For your awards evening the team can provide:

  • Stage and LED lighting design
  • Video screens for winner presentations and highlight reels
  • Microphone systems for hosts, presenters and speakers
  • Music and entertainment AV
  • Full technical management throughout the evening

The team tests all equipment before guests arrive and is on site for the entire evening. Any technical issue is resolved quickly without affecting the running of your event.

Accommodation for Awards & Dinner Guests

For guests travelling from further out, the NCC has two sister hotels nearby.

Manor Hotel Solihull is five minutes from the NCC in the village of Meriden. This 4-star hotel has 112 bedrooms and the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill.

Windmill Village Hotel, Golf and Spa is 15 minutes away. With 105 bedrooms, a golf course, gym and spa. This close proximity is a great option for guests making a night of it.

What is the capacity of the banqueting suite at the NCC?

Our most popular banqueting suite, the Imperial Suite seats 760 for a seated dinner and holds 1,600 for a standing reception. With the Trafalgar and Waterloo suites included as a drinks reception area, the combined space covers over 1,360 m². For larger events, the Britannia Suite seats 1,000 for dinner and 1,800 for a standing reception.

Can the NCC host an awards ceremony and dinner in the same evening?

Yes. The Imperial Suite can be combined with awards ceremonies and dinner events. The room has a dedicated stage, full production AV with video screens and LED lighting. Our AV team manages the technical delivery throughout the evening. Guests move from the drinks reception in the Trafalgar and Waterloo rooms into the main banqueting suite for dinner and the awards programme.

Are sample dinner menus available?

Yes. Our events team can provide sample dinner menus and drinks packages on request. Contact the team using the enquiry form and ask for the awards evening guide, which includes menu options and pricing guidance.

Is the NCC suitable for charity fundraising dinners?

Yes. The Imperial Suite regularly hosts charity galas and fundraising dinners. The Trafalgar and Waterloo rooms work well for silent auctions and pre-dinner networking.
