NCC Featured in Delegate Wranglers’ Venue Insider Special

We’re delighted to share that Helen Davis, Business Development Manager at the National Conference Centre, was recently featured in the June 2026 edition of Delegate Wranglers’ Venue Insider Special.

The feature highlighted some of the qualities that make the National Conference Centre unique, from our heritage and history to the innovations we’re introducing to make event planning easier for our clients.

A Venue with Heritage at its Heart

When asked what gives the National Conference Centre its distinctive atmosphere, Helen explained that our heritage is what truly sets us apart.

“I often get asked what the relationship is between the National Conference Centre and the National Motorcycle Museum, as we’re based on the same site. The answer is that we’re all part of the same story.

Our heritage is really the heart and soul of the venue. The conference centre was originally built more than 40 years ago alongside the museum, and everything we do today still supports its long-term sustainability. Over the years, we’ve continued to grow, including adding two nearby hotels for delegates staying with us.

Clients love that we can offer something different from a standard event venue. There’s a real sense of history and character here, which creates a more memorable experience for delegates while still delivering everything organisers need from a modern conference destination.”

Supporting Event Planners Through Innovation

The feature also explored how venues are adapting to meet the changing needs of event professionals. For Helen, one recent initiative stands out:

“One of our most recent initiatives has been the launch of the new National Conference Centre website, which has been designed very much with event planners in mind.

We wanted to make the enquiry process as simple and efficient as possible, so planners can quickly find the information they need without having to search through pages of content. The site allows users to explore our spaces through clear room specifications, capacities and layouts, but also by event category, whether that’s conferences, exhibitions, meetings or awards dinners.

It’s all about making the planning journey smoother, faster and more user-friendly from the very first interaction.”

National Reach, Exceptional Experiences

Located in the heart of the UK, close to Birmingham Airport and with excellent transport connections, the National Conference Centre welcomes conferences, exhibitions, meetings and events for up to 1,000 delegates.

Helen’s role as Business Development Manager sees her working closely with agents, event planners and corporate organisations across the country, helping to showcase the venue as one of the UK’s leading conference and events destinations.

We’d like to thank Delegate Wranglers for featuring Helen in this special edition and for continuing to champion the people and venues that make the events industry such a vibrant community.
